Day Camp for Deaf Children and Children of Deaf Adults - Did you know there are almost 5,000 deaf people in Greenville County? Over 42,000 people have significant hearing loss. Less than 0.05% are involved in a local congregation. We have sponsored the day camp since 1975. It is a fun week with some special kids. Volunteers from churches assist with the camp.

Day Camp 2009 This was the 34th day camp for deaf children and children of deaf adults. We had a total of 25 campers and workers. Thanks to Brushy Creek Baptist Church for hosting the camp. Thanks to First Baptist Church of the Deaf and J.K. Lathem for providing transportation. Thanks to Cleveland Street YMCA for allowing us to swim. Thanks to Whispering Pines Stables for letting us go on a hayride and ride ponies. A special thanks to  Debbie Webster (Whispering Pines), Tony Moore (Brushy Creek), and Joel Thrasher (GBA) for sharing stories from the Bible in such creative ways. Thanks also goes to the many other volunteers who made this week possible.
